A spacer that is a millimetre short changes the preload on a shim stack, and with it the damping.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Thread M6

Öhlins part number 00437-01

Function

At thread M6 it fits one position only; the next size up carries a different number. Shoulder screws set a clearance as well as clamping, which is why the length is exact. Circlips are single-use in practice: once sprung, they no longer hold their groove reliably. Circlips hold axial position under load; a sprung one lets the assembly walk.

Genuine Service Part

The alternative to a service part is usually a new damper, which is why this catalogue exists. Öhlins is one of the few suspension makers that still supplies every position in the exploded view as a single part. Service parts are ordered per piece unless stated otherwise. We can supply the whole position from the drawing rather than the single piece if that is easier.

Identifying the Right Part

Order under 00437-01. Where several sizes share a description, only the number separates them. The thread is M6. A wrong washer under an adjuster changes the click range without anyone noticing why. Ordering the small parts with the seal kit saves the second delivery that most rebuilds otherwise need.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 00437-01

Category: Nuts

Thread: M6

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/00437-01_49f9e381-ec0c-48e0-9605-80f7e2d2bdbd.png?v=1788869352
