Bushings in the fork carry the side load; play there shows up as knocking under braking.

Key Features

Öhlins part number 21627-27

Dimension B 815 mm

Original Öhlins service part

Dimension A 803 mm

Where It Sits

This one measures 803 mm, 815 mm, and those figures are what separate it from the neighbouring numbers. Öhlins publishes tube diameters by fork model, and they are not interchangeable across the range. Axle clamps and lower legs are machined to hold the axle without distorting the fork. A fork tube that has been bent is scrap: straightening changes the wall and it bends again.

Genuine Service Part

Parts remain available years after a unit leaves the current price list, which is unusual in this trade. An original part keeps the unit within its published specification; a near-equivalent quietly moves it. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise. We can supply the whole position from the drawing rather than the single piece if that is easier.

Getting the Number Right

Part number 21627-27 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. Check dimension a 803 mm, dimension b 815 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Fork legs are matched left and right on most Öhlins forks and are listed separately. Cartridge tubes sit inside the fork leg and do the actual damping.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 21627-27

Category: Fork Bottoms

Dimension A: 803 mm

Dimension B: 815 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/21627-27_e7d3dd92-ea9d-41bf-a010-3c6e1ef33851.png?v=1788879682
