Valves and needles set the adjustable part of the damping; the piston sets the rest.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 06771-03

Where It Sits

This position is identified by its number rather than by a dimension. The piston carries the shim stacks and meters the oil; its port layout is what makes an Öhlins damper behave the way it does. Öhlins machines the ports rather than casting them, so the edges stay sharp and the flow predictable. The seat face has to be flat enough for the first shim to seal against it.

Why the Original

The alternative to a service part is usually a new damper, which is why this catalogue exists. Öhlins keeps service parts available for units long after they leave the current price list. The Öhlins exploded view names the number for each position; we can look it up if you do not have it. Service parts are ordered per piece unless stated otherwise.

Getting the Number Right

06771-03 is the Öhlins number for this position — the same one printed in the service documentation. Öhlins does not publish a dimension here — go by the number and the exploded view. The seat face has to be flat enough for the first shim to seal against it. Öhlins uses a piston band rather than metal-to-metal contact, which is what keeps the bore intact.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 06771-03

Category: Check Valves

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/06771-03_1620e7a0-4f8d-4697-8adc-09cf5da30bff.png?v=1788877997
