Öhlins machines its housings from solid rather than casting them, which keeps the bores true.

Key Features

Dimension A 47.5 mm

Dimension B 50.3 mm

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 15550-57

What It Is

Dimensionally this is 47.5 mm, 50.3 mm, which is how it is told apart from the rest of the range. Housing threads carry the adjusters and are the part that suffers if the adjuster is forced. Mounting hardware is model-specific — the damper body may be common, the brackets never are. A housing carries adjusters and their seals, so its bores matter as much as its outside.

Why the Original

An original part keeps the unit within its published specification; a near-equivalent quietly moves it. The part number is the contract: it defines material, dimension and finish together. We can check the number against the Öhlins exploded view before you order — just ask. Where a number has been superseded, Öhlins states the replacement — we pass that on.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Part number 15550-57 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. Check dimension a 47.5 mm, dimension b 50.3 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Clamps have a specified torque; over-tightening distorts the bore they hold. Brackets locate the damper or reservoir against the chassis and take the load in one direction only.

Fitting and Setup Service

If you would rather not open the damper yourself, we can do it — we are an authorised Öhlins service centre and rebuild these units as a matter of routine.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 15550-57

Category: Brackets

Dimension A: 47.5 mm

Dimension B: 50.3 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/15550-57_6d6bab34-648f-40df-be5f-f4690b774dc0.png?v=1788879051
