It reflects part of the incoming light before that light reaches the tint, which is why a mirrored screen runs cooler behind it than a plain dark one — it turns light away rather than absorbing it. Blue is the most stable of the single-colour mirrors: it shifts towards violet at shallow angles but never loses its identity the way the rainbow film deliberately does.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eOne warning that costs people money: an iridium film is more delicate than a plain hardcoat. Clean it with a thoroughly soaked microfibre cloth and never dry-wipe it, because grit dragged across a mirror leaves marks that will not polish out.
