Where the tank sits on a Z800 decides how the hose runs. LighTech's OBT009 carries the reservoir at 28.9 mm height and 31 mm out from the mount. Black is the only finish this bracket exists in. Fitting it to a Z800 is a job of minutes, not hours.

The Mount Decides the Fit
LighTech splits reservoir and bracket because the bracket is what varies by machine. The OBT009 is the rear of the two brackets, measuring 28.9 mm and 31 mm. It is the smallest part of the installation.
Installation
Fitting the OBT009 to a Z800 is a hand-tool job. Mount it so the reservoir sits above the master cylinder on the Z800, never below. Re-check the fasteners after the first ride.
Fitment and Compatibility
Fitment is the Z800 across 2012 to 2016. Mounting is simple, but where it ends up on the Z800 is your decision, not a fixed point.
Scope of Delivery
The OBT009 is supplied as a single bracket with its fasteners. LighTech keeps it as a stock item.
Care and Checks
Anodised aluminium takes brake cleaner badly; keep it off the OBT009. The OBT009 needs no maintenance of its own beyond that.
The Second Part Number
The OBT009 is a bracket and nothing else. It carries LighTech's OBT001, OBT006 and OBT007 tanks, which are ordered separately. A complete installation on the Z800 is one tank plus one bracket.
Regulations and the Hydraulic Circuit
The hydraulic circuit is the one area where a styling part stops being a styling part. No approval paperwork comes with the OBT009 and we do not present it as approved. For a road-registered Z800 in Germany, have the installation assessed before you rely on it — and have the system bled and checked by a workshop afterwards.
