DescriptionThe whole story▼
When GP-shift precision and rider safety are non-negotiable, the LighTech FTRDU016R R rearset delivers the engineering credentials to match. Designed exclusively for the Ducati Panigale V2 955 (2020–2024), this CNC-machined rearset is built for riders who demand race-derived shift logic, absolute reliability, and the ergonomic confidence to push harder on track and road alike.
Key Features
- Machined from solid Ergal 7075-T6 aluminium billet — the same aerospace-grade alloy used in premium racing components — for maximum rigidity and long-term durability
- Ball-bearing pivot points on both the shift and brake levers eliminate play and deliver consistently precise, backlash-free actuation
- Folding silver footpegs and toepegs protect against damage during a lean or low-speed tip-over, reducing the risk of footpeg-induced highsides
- Fully adjustable footpeg position — height and fore-aft — allows each rider to dial in an ergonomically correct, fatigue-reducing riding stance
- GP-shift (reverse shift pattern) configuration only: correct shift action is maintained at race pace without the risk of incorrect gear selection under pressure
- Arrives complete with all mounting hardware — no sourcing of ancillary fasteners required before fitment
- Every individual component is available as a spare part, ensuring a long service life and straightforward crash repair
Engineering & Build Quality
The FTRDU016R is the flagship R-series rearset in the LighTech range. Starting from solid Ergal 7075-T6 billet, each part is CNC-machined to tight tolerances, producing a rearset that is noticeably stiffer and more dimensionally consistent than cast alternatives. The R designation brings folding footpegs and toepegs — a deliberate safety feature that allows the peg to rotate away on contact with the road surface rather than acting as a lever against the rider's foot or the bike's chassis.
Ball-bearing pivots on the shift and brake lever assemblies are a standout detail. Where plain-bore pivots introduce slop over time, sealed bearings maintain zero play across the component's service life, giving the rider the same tactile feedback on lap 300 as on lap one.
Road & Track Use
The FTRDU016R is equally at home on a Panigale V2 used for weekend track days and spirited road riding. The adjustable footpeg position lets riders running aggressive, forward-biased track ergonomics switch to a slightly more relaxed road setup without replacing any parts. The GP-shift pattern suits any rider who has trained on race bikes or who simply prefers the heel-down upshift action that keeps the ankle in a more natural position under hard braking.
Important: this rearset is configured exclusively for GP-shift (reverse shift pattern). It is not compatible with the standard shift pattern. Please confirm your preference before ordering.
