DescriptionThe whole story▼
The same machined throttle housing with JetPrime's logo cut into the flank. For the Brutale 800, in black anodised Ergal 7075.
Key Features
- MV Agusta Brutale 800 (2012–2022)
- Machined from a single block of Ergal 7075
- JetPrime logo milled into the housing
- Short-stroke throttle cam
- Black anodised
- Uses the original throttle cables
Cut, Not Applied
The lettering is milled into the aluminium before anodising, so it shares the body's finish and cannot peel, fade or lift at an edge. Applied badges on a component the rider's hand rests against do not survive long.
Whether a Logo Belongs Here
Reasonable people disagree. Some owners want the component to announce that it is not the factory part; others regard any second brand in an MV cockpit as an intrusion. JetPrime makes both versions rather than deciding for anyone.
A Naked Bike With a Racing Crank
MV turns the Brutale's crankshaft backwards, which cancels part of the wheels' gyroscopic effect. It is why the bike falls into corners in a way that surprises riders coming from anything Japanese, and why it demands a precise right hand.
Ten Years, One Housing
The Brutale 800 ran with essentially unchanged throttle architecture from 2012 to 2022 across a long list of trim names. That consistency is what allows a single component to cover a decade of production.
A Shorter Cam
The standard travel is set for a broad audience. Reducing the wrist rotation between closed and fully open sharpens the motorcycle's responses without touching anything inside the engine, and it is entirely reversible.
Cables Retained
The conversion is mechanical. The motorcycle's own cables are reused, nothing electrical is disturbed and the standard housing refits at any point.
A Long List of Names
RR, RC, America, Pirelli, Rosso, SCS. MV sold the Brutale 800 under a stream of designations distinguished by tune, suspension and paint. They share this throttle housing because underneath the badging they are one motorcycle.
