DescriptionThe whole story▼
Built for riders who demand race-bred performance on both the track and the road, the Arrow Pro-Race 71831PRN slip-on silencer transforms the Yamaha YZF-R3 (2021-2026) with a genuine reduction in unsprung mass, sharper throttle response and the unmistakable Arrow exhaust note. At just 1.43 kg, this stainless steel unit replaces the heavy OEM can and lets the R3's engine breathe more freely from the moment you crack open the throttle.
Key Features
- Weighs only 1.43 kg — a direct reduction in overall weight versus the stock silencer, improving throttle response and handling agility through corners.
- Dark stainless steel construction throughout — silencer body, end cap and internals all in stainless steel for outstanding heat resistance and long-term durability in all conditions.
- Road-legal E-type approval included — removable dB killer brings the exhaust within road-legal sound limits, allowing straightforward use in everyday traffic without compromising track performance when removed.
- 250 mm silencer length with a 68 mm outlet and 45 mm inlet connection — dimensions engineered for optimised power delivery and balanced back-pressure on the YZF-R3 engine.
- Direct bolt-on fitment for Yamaha YZF-R3 2021-2026 — no cutting, welding or additional brackets required for a clean, professional installation.
- Arrow recommends pairing this silencer with a dedicated fuel mapping to fully unlock throttle response and peak power output on the R3.
Race-Focused Performance on the Street
The Pro-Race is Arrow's competition-oriented silencer line, designed to extract the most from a standard header while staying within the constraints of road legality. The dark stainless steel finish resists the discolouration and surface oxidation that affects standard steel cans over time, keeping the exhaust looking as sharp after a hard trackday as it does fresh out of the box. The dB killer slots in securely for commuting or technical inspection, and lifts out cleanly when the pit lane calls.
Build Quality
Every component — the canister body, the internal packing support, and the end cap — is fabricated from stainless steel. This single-material approach eliminates galvanic corrosion between dissimilar metals, a common failure point on budget aftermarket exhausts. The dark surface treatment is applied at high temperature, bonding to the steel rather than sitting on top of it, so it withstands the thermal cycling that a high-revving 321 cc parallel-twin produces across a full riding season.
Fitment & Compatibility
This slip-on silencer is designed to fit the Yamaha YZF-R3 for model years 2021 through 2026. It connects to the original header pipe using the standard mid-pipe junction — no modification to the exhaust header is needed. For best results, Arrow advises using a purpose-developed fuel map to complement the improved exhaust flow.
