DescriptionThe whole story▼

When a Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS of 2021 to 2025 is used for track days and club racing, every part of the braking system comes under scrutiny. Accossato offers the AGPA42 rear pad for this model in its ZXC ceramic racing compound. It is designed for racing, and teams and track-day riders can test it over a weekend, comparing its rear brake feel with their previous pads and choosing what works for them on their circuit.

Key Features

  • ZXC ceramic racing compound, article AGPA42ZXC
  • For the rear of the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS, 2021 to 2025
  • For track days and racing
  • Accossato calls it a ceramic compound ideal for racing
  • Two pads per box, one rear caliper
  • Also available in OR and ST

Construction and Material Quality

ZXC is Accossato's ceramic racing compound. The company says it is ideal for racing, without further technical data, which we therefore do not supply. The general design aims of the range, low wear, limited heat with reduced fade and strong braking, apply here too. On the rear of a powerful naked bike used on track, predictable feel is the priority.

A Test Day Plan

Start the day with the old pads, set a reference lap time, then swap to the ZXC set and bed it in during a steady session. Compare how the rear brake feels on corner entry and when controlling the bike on exits. Write notes after each session. At the end of the day, inspect the pads and disc. If the rider prefers the ceramic material, keep it for the next event; if not, you have lost little more than an hour of track time. Remember to pump the pedal after every pad change in the pit lane, before the Speed Triple 1200 RS rolls out again.

Fitment and Compatibility

In Accossato's application table the AGPA42 sits at the back wheel of the Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS, model years 2021 to 2025. With one rear caliper to fill, a race team needs one box per change, and it is worth keeping a spare in the pit. We see no other Accossato brake parts registered for this bike. Road riders can pick the same pad as Organic or Sintered.

Road Approval

This ceramic pad has no ABE and we have no road approval document. It is supplied for racing and track use.

Scope of Delivery

Two AGPA42 rear pads in ZXC ceramic racing compound, a set for the rear caliper.
