The Accossato PK040 shares its 19 mm piston and fixed 19 mm lever pivot distance, Accossato's mixed track-and-street setting, with the fixed-lever PK039, but is fitted with a folding lever instead, available in the same seven colours with a relieving eyelet. The lever folds in against the bar for easier transport or storage, while the reservoir, adjusting knob and oil level marker remain colour-matched as on the rest of the integrated-reservoir brake range.

Construction and Material Quality
Construction is unchanged from the fixed-lever PK039: a forged aluminium body with a CNC-worked cover and lever, stainless steel screws, a zinc-plated bleed valve and seals made from Formula 1 compound. The folding joint in the lever is the only mechanical difference between the two, letting this version tuck flat against the bar when the bike is transported, stored tightly, or dropped at low speed. The offset riser and the shortened passive lever stroke carry over unchanged from the rest of the 19 mm family.
Folding Convenience at a Mixed-Use Pivot Setting
Riders who want the balanced, mixed track-and-street lever feel of the 19 mm pivot distance but also value being able to fold the lever away, for a bike kept in a smaller garage, loaded onto a trailer, or ridden two-up with luggage near the bars, get that combination here rather than having to choose the fixed-lever PK039 instead. Nothing about how the brake responds changes with the folding joint; the 19 mm piston and the pivot geometry that Accossato positions between the firmer 20 mm and the softer 18 mm settings are identical between the two part numbers.

Road Approval
This master cylinder is not supplied with German road-approval documentation; it is intended for track and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
The package includes the Accossato PK040 radial brake master cylinder with its integrated reservoir, fitted with a long folding lever and relieving eyelet (RST) in the colour selected, together with the mounting nut. Stainless steel mounting screws, the zinc-plated bleed valve and the Formula 1 compound seals are assembled on the unit. The brake light switch, available separately as ID001 or ID002, and the mirror holder, available separately as MH007 or MH008, are not included.
