DescriptionThe whole story▼

For the 2024 Zero DS with the ZF17.3 power pack, Accossato lists the AGPA96 front pad, which is available here in the Organic (OR) compound. It is the everyday material: smooth and quiet, gentle on the rotor and happy to work without being warmed up. It suits riders who use the electric dual-sport for commuting, errands and relaxed countryside riding, where the brakes are used often but seldom hard. Accossato says the organic material gives longer performance and limits disc wear.

Key Features

  • Front pads for the Zero DS, model year 2024
  • Listed by Accossato for the DS ZF17.3
  • AGPA96 shape in the Organic (OR) compound, code AGPA96OR
  • Durable, disc-friendly material, according to Accossato
  • Clean response from cold for short urban trips
  • Two pads per box, the set for one caliper
  • No German ABE held; for track use

Construction and Material Quality

In the AGPA96 family, organic is the gentle all-rounder. Accossato designed it to keep performing over a long life while sparing the disc. For an electric bike used for many short journeys, where brakes rarely get hot, that suits the task well. Like every Accossato pad it is made to resist fade. Sintered ST, EV1, EV2 and ZXC versions of the AGPA96 are also listed. The box contains two pads for a single caliper.

Errands and Commutes

A modern electric dual-sport is often the vehicle for everyday journeys: to work, to the shops, along country lanes at the weekend. The front brake is used in small doses at every junction, typically from cold. An organic pad responds cleanly in that situation and does it without noise, which matters on a motorcycle that makes almost none of its own. Riders who ride through winter rain or plan circuit days should look at the sintered or sporting versions instead.

Changing the Pads

Clean the caliper, check the disc and fluid, and retract the pistons gently after wiping them. Fit the new pads, pump the lever until firm and bed them in with a few moderate stops before relying on full braking.

Fitment and Compatibility

The AGPA96 is listed by Accossato for the front of the 2024 Zero DS with the ZF17.3. The 2015 to 2017 DS uses the AGPA92 at the front instead. At the rear, the 2024 model takes the AGPA29, while the 2014 to 2017 bikes use the AGPP91. No Accossato pads are listed in our data for the years between 2018 and 2023. Check how many front calipers your DS carries.

Road Approval

No German ABE or test certificate is on file for this pad, so we supply it for track and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

Two organic front pads in one box, one set for a Zero DS front caliper.
