DescriptionThe whole story▼
Honda's CB1000R RA carries over the streetfighter look of the CB1000R with a touch more road-going comfort, and plenty end up doing daily commuting duty between weekend blasts. Stop-start traffic, filtering past queued cars, and parking in tight spots all raise the odds of a slow-speed tip-over long before any corner gets taken fast enough to worry about. For the CB1000R RA of 2008 to 2016, Accossato makes the PF013, a pair of black front axle sliders built to meet the ground first when the bike's own weight does the damage.
Key Features
- Front axle sliders for the Honda CB1000R RA, 2008 to 2016
- Accossato part PF013, one protector for each side of the front wheel
- Aluminium combined with plastic, finished in black
- Spacers, screws and further mounting parts in the kit, as stated by Accossato
- Meant to touch down first if the front end slides or the bike tips over
- Matching TP015 fairing crash pads available for the same CB1000R RA
- Also listed in our shop for other Honda and Yamaha models sharing this axle area
- No German ABE on file; we offer the pair for racing and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato builds the PF013 from aluminium and plastic, with both protectors finished in black to sit neatly against the CB1000R RA's own dark fork legs. One slider mounts on each side of the front axle, and spacers, screws and the remaining parts needed for fitting travel in the same box, as Accossato states on its own packaging. The maker doesn't publish the exact geometry of how the sliders key into this Honda's axle and fork, so nothing about bolt sizes, stud lengths or hole spacing is claimed here; that belongs with the fitting sheet and a mechanic who has the bike in front of them.
Commuting, Filtering and Standstill Drops
A CB1000R RA used through the working week sees a different kind of risk than one kept for trackdays: a lost footing while walking it backwards into a parking bay, a slippery drain cover caught at a junction, or a careless shove from a passer-by while it's parked on its side stand. None of that is dramatic, but the front end still lands on something, and the PF013 gives it a sacrificial edge to land on instead of the fork tube or the axle nut. Riders who park on the street daily, rather than tucking the bike away in a garage, are exactly who this kind of protector is aimed at.
Fitment and Compatibility
The PF013 is listed for the CB1000R RA from 2008 to 2016; always confirm your exact year against the current application table, since Honda revised the CB1000R range more than once. The same part also fits the CB600F Hornet, the CBR600RR and the Yamaha R6 in our catalogue, which tells you the front axle dimensions on this naked Honda line up with several faster, more track-focused machines of the same era.
Road Approval
No German ABE or comparable approval paperwork accompanies the PF013, so Inter-Pace lists this pair for racing and competition use on the CB1000R RA rather than for ordinary road use.
Scope of Delivery
Two front axle sliders in black, one for each fork leg, together with the spacers, screws and other mounting parts Accossato packs for fitting them to the CB1000R RA.
