DescriptionThe whole story▼

Ducati carried the same 14 mm fork hexagon over from the Multistrada 1200 to the 1260, which means Accossato's adjuster fits either bike without variation, a small continuity on a model that otherwise gained displacement and updated electronics for this generation. CNC-machined in aluminium and anodised to order, the pair replaces the stock preload caps on each fork leg, giving riders who adjust for touring load a tool-friendly hexagon rather than a worn factory edge to work against.

Key Features

  • Fork preload adjuster for the Ducati Multistrada 1260, 2018-2020
  • 14 mm internal hexagon
  • CNC-machined aluminium, anodised to order
  • Supplied as a pair, one adjuster per fork leg
  • Seven colours: blue, green, black, red, silver, titanium, gold
  • Also fits any adjuster with the same 14 mm hexagon
  • No other Accossato parts currently listed for this Multistrada 1260
  • No German ABE on file; offered for track use

Construction and Material Quality

This adjuster is CNC-machined from aluminium and anodised in seven colours: blue, green, black, red, silver, titanium and gold, with the same 14 mm hexagon used across Accossato's Multistrada listings. The construction does not vary between this adjuster and the one made for the 1200; only the bike it is listed against changes.

A Shared Hexagon Across a Model Update

When Ducati grew the Multistrada's engine from 1200 to 1260, the fork hardware at the top of each leg stayed the same size, which is why this adjuster carries an identical hexagon to the one listed for the earlier bike. For an owner moving from one Multistrada generation to the next, that consistency means the preload tool and the habit of checking it before a loaded trip do not need to change along with the rest of the specification. Nothing about the hexagon itself changed between the two model years, only the engine and electronics underneath it.

Fitment and Compatibility

This adjuster is listed for the Multistrada 1260 in both standard and Touring form, built from 2018 to 2020. The 14 mm hexagon is the detail that carries fitment beyond Ducati entirely, onto the BMW S1000RR, the Kawasaki Z800 and ZZR1400, and three Suzuki models including the GSX-S750. The Desert X and the earlier Multistrada 1200 share the same hexagon too, each sold as its own listing rather than bundled with this one. No other Accossato part is currently listed for this Multistrada 1260.

Road Approval

No test or approval documents, including an ABE, sit in our files for this adjuster, so it is offered for racing and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

The pack holds two adjusters, one per fork leg, in the colour chosen at checkout. No tools travel with the pair.
