DescriptionThe whole story▼

An MT-10 SP that has been converted into a dedicated circuit bike calls for front pads made for racing. Accossato's AGPA97EV2 is the front pad for the SP from 2017 to 2024 in the EV2 racing compound. It is designed for riders who spend their weekends in timed sessions, who repeat the same heavy stop at the same board every lap, and who want the brake to feel identical from the out-lap to the last lap.

Key Features

  • Front pads for the Yamaha MT-10 SP, 2017 to 2024
  • Article AGPA97EV2, EV2 racing compound
  • A top racing compound, in Accossato's words
  • For timed sessions on a circuit-converted SP
  • Box of two pads, enough for one caliper
  • The SP needs two boxes for both front calipers
  • Same plate available in OR, ST, EV1 and ZXC
  • No German ABE available; track and competition only

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato's EV2 is a racing compound, summed up by the company as a top racing compound. Pressed onto the SP's AGPA97 plate, it is aimed at repeated heavy stops at circuit speeds. Accossato designs it to limit heat so that fade stays under control, which is the essential property for racing.

Consistency from Out-Lap to Last Lap

A timed session on a circuit-converted SP typically starts with an out-lap to warm tyres and brakes, followed by a series of fast laps and a cool-down lap. The front pads need to reach working temperature quickly, then deliver the same bite and lever travel lap after lap. EV2 is made for that. Watch for changes in lever feel towards the end of a session, which can point to fluid that needs replacing. Between sessions, check pad wear, look for glazing, and keep the discs clean. Keep a log of pad changes and the circuits used, so you can predict when the next set will be needed.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists the AGPA97 for the front of the MT-10 SP from 2017 to 2024, and the AGPP88 for its rear. A complete front change uses two boxes for the two calipers. Clean the pistons carefully, inspect the discs for heat marks and cracks, and bleed the system with fresh racing fluid. No Accossato discs are listed for the SP. Bed in new pads during the first session.

Road Approval

Our records hold no German ABE or approval documents for the AGPA97EV2. It is therefore supplied only for circuit and competition use.
