Assembly grease matters — the wrong compound swells the seal and it fails early.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 01032-20

What It Is

This position is identified by its number rather than by a dimension. Öhlins uses seals with a spring-loaded lip so they follow the shaft as it wears. Static seals and dynamic seals are not interchangeable even in the same size. A seal that has taken a set no longer springs back and starts to weep.

Why the Original

The alternative to a service part is usually a new damper, which is why this catalogue exists. Every part in this catalogue is one Öhlins fits itself during assembly and service. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise. Send us the model and serial number of your unit and we will confirm the position before you order.

Getting the Number Right

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 01032-20 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. Seal kits gather the pieces one rebuild needs, which avoids a second order mid-job. Replacing seals at service intervals is far cheaper than replacing what a failed seal damages.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 01032-20

Category: Back-up Rings

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/01032-20_d8a5baea-54fe-4e72-bf1c-c0eea3ef7bef.png?v=1788872963
