The JP ES 022 lets the Multistrada V2S run in gear with the side stand switch removed, which is the point at which a track machine loses the stand entirely.

Two Hundred and Four Kilograms
Dry, a couple of kilograms above the standard V2 because of the suspension hardware. It disappears entirely once the motorcycle is moving.

Mud on an Adventure Bike
The mechanism packs solid on a wet track and reports a deployed stand entirely on its own. Washing it out buys a ride or two and the fault returns.
What the Eliminator Presents
The state the controller reads as a retracted stand, in a potted body carrying Ducati's own connector. There is nothing to configure, nothing to power and nothing that can drift, because it is a passive part doing a passive job.
Clearing an Old Fault
Where the switch failed before it was removed, the controller may already have logged something. The eliminator prevents new entries but does not erase old ones, so a few seconds with a diagnostic tool is worth spending to leave the record honest.
