An M1000RR set up for circuit use often loses its standard throttle tube to a quick-action unit. The JP PDQ BM008 carries the displaced right-hand controls on a separate billet mounting.

Faster Hands on a Homologation Bike
The M1000RR was built to satisfy World Superbike rules, and riders who use it for its intended purpose almost always shorten the throttle action. A quarter turn instead of a third changes how quickly the bike can be picked up out of a corner, and on a 212 hp motorcycle that difference is felt on every exit.
The Electrical Consequence
Remove the standard tube and the integrated switch block has to go with it. On an M that still needs to start, run and pass a noise test, the kill switch is not optional equipment. This unit restores those controls without asking anything of the loom, which is the difference between a conversion done in an afternoon and one that involves splicing.
Switch Elements Rated Above Road Use
The contacts are military-specification parts rather than automotive ones. On a bike that spends its weekends being pressure washed, heat-soaked in a paddock and vibrated at sixteen thousand rpm, the failure mode that matters is not wear but ingress, and that is what the specification addresses.
Reversible for Resale
M1000RR examples change hands with their original parts boxed, and buyers expect it. Because this switch plugs into the standard connector and mounts to the bar rather than the throttle, returning the motorcycle to factory specification is a matter of swapping two components, not undoing wiring.
Where It Sits in a Track Build
On a properly prepared M1000RR this switch usually goes on at the same time as the quick throttle, the rearsets and the race bodywork. It is not the headline component of that build, but it is the one that determines whether the bike starts at the end of it. Leaving the electrics until last is how a weekend gets lost.
