DescriptionThe whole story▼
This kit brings Accossato's braided hose technology to the clutch circuit of the 2014-2019 Suzuki DL1000 V-STROM, replacing the factory rubber clutch line with a single stainless-steel braided hose that follows the original routing. The kit is developed for riding where braking feel needs to stay predictable loaded with luggage and a passenger. Since the braided sheath barely stretches compared with rubber, the lever firms up earlier and stays consistent from the first touch to full application.
Key Features
- Minimal hose expansion under pressure for a firmer, more consistent lever feel
- Fittings supplied only in plain stainless steel for a uniform, understated finish
- Clutch layout, routed along the same path as the original factory clutch hose
- Kit supplied as 1 braided hose to suit this specific layout
- Direct replacement for the factory rubber clutch line on this specific model and year range
- Aeronautical-grade stainless-steel braid over the full length of each hose
- Stainless-steel braid resists the expansion a rubber hose shows under pressure
Construction and Material Quality
This DL1000 V-STROM kit's hose is wrapped in a stainless-steel braid to aircraft specification, which keeps the hose far more rigid under pressure than the rubber item it replaces, as fitted to the 2014-2019 production run. The banjo fittings supplied with this kit are finished in stainless steel, kept to plain stainless steel rather than a painted finish, the standard fitting specification Accossato uses on its braided hose kits. A choice of twenty sheath colours is on offer for this kit, so the DL1000 V-STROM can end up looking stock or noticeably different, depending on the choice made. The braid is the one place to add colour, since the fittings stay plain stainless steel.
Clutch Line Routing
On the DL1000 V-STROM, this kit's single braided hose takes over from the factory rubber clutch line, following the identical route between the clutch master cylinder and the slave side of the system, built this way across the 2014-2019 run. Keeping the stock routing means the new hose clears the same frame and engine components the factory line always cleared. The clutch hydraulics still need a full bleed once the hose is fitted, to restore a consistent lever.
Fitment and Compatibility
Coverage for this kit is matched to the Suzuki DL1000 V-STROM built between 2014-2019, in the Clutch layout. Because this part is specific to the DL1000 V-STROM, it suits a bike that is suited to riders who split their time between motorway miles and loose, unmade surfaces. Because small running changes happen within a model's production, use the fitment tab on this listing to confirm the match before buying.
Road Approval
No ABE or parts certificate is documented by Accossato for this kit; it is intended for track and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
This kit includes 1 braided clutch hose for the Clutch layout. Banjo bolts and sealing washers are not confirmed as included; check your existing hardware or source replacements before fitting if in doubt.
