DescriptionThe whole story

Braking hard on the Triumph Rocket 3 2500 is a whole-body activity. That is the job of the B005: 102.2 by 42.0 mm of ceramic-sintered material, 8.05 mm deep, in the Brembo caliper. The B005 in EX Race trim is the version ZCOO builds for riders who value feel over first bite.

Key Features

  • Forms a thin ceramic film on the rotor in use, so disc wear on the Triumph Rocket 3 2500 stays far below what a conventional sintered race pad causes
  • Suits the Rocket 3 2500 on the road as readily as on a circuit, which is what separates the ceramic platform from a pure race sinter
  • No warm-up needed: the B005 works at the first cold stop of the day, which is why ZCOO sells EX Race for road as well as circuit use
  • Front axle only: ZCOO lists no rear pad under the B005 reference
  • Part number Z-B005-EX, EAN 4950545767882
  • A pad geometry drawn for this caliper family rather than shared across three of them, which is why the B005 fills its window

Construction and Material Quality

The B005 is made by Okada Corporation in Japan. The B005 plate is laser-cut from an alloy chosen for stiffness at working temperature, not at room temperature. It is also why ZCOO can quote fade resistance beyond 600 degrees for the B005 without qualifying it.

Performance and Feel

Between roughly zero and 600 degrees the B005 holds a near-constant friction coefficient. In exchange for a modest first bite the B005 gives the same bite on the tenth stop as on the first. For a Rocket 3 2500 that is the difference between a hard stop and a fright.

Fitment and Compatibility

The B005 is ZCOO's listed reference for the Triumph Rocket 3 2500 between 2019 and 2023. The same B005 shape covers 117 further machines in the 2026 catalogue. Nothing in the ZCOO range fits the rear axle of the Rocket 3 2500. Before ordering, check that your caliper takes a pad of 102.2 mm length and 42.0 mm height.

Road Approval

No ECE R90 type approval is documented for this pad. It appears neither in ZCOO's own catalogue nor on the European distributor's site, and no approval number is printed on the packaging data available to us. ZCOO itself describes the compound as suited to competition machines and road machines alike, but that is a description of the mixture, not a type approval. Until the distributor confirms an approval in writing, treat this as a track and competition part: in Germany a replacement brake pad without ECE R90 approval may not be fitted to a motorcycle used on public roads. Ask us before ordering if you need this clarified for your machine.
