- Outer Diameter 12.9 mm
- Length 12 mm
- Öhlins part number 61123-18
- Original Öhlins service part
Function
61123-18 is the 7 mm, 12.9 mm, 12 mm version — Öhlins lists each size separately. Sleeves position parts axially and often set the preload on a stack. Inner and outer diameter both matter; a bushing that is a little loose does more damage than none at all. Guide bushings set the internal alignment of a cartridge.
Why the Original
Öhlins is one of the few suspension makers that still supplies every position in the exploded view as a single part. Parts remain available years after a unit leaves the current price list, which is unusual in this trade. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise.
Identifying the Right Part
Öhlins identifies this position by the number 61123-18 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. inner diameter 7 mm, outer diameter 12.9 mm, length 12 mm is what distinguishes this number from its neighbours in the range. A worn bushing lets the shaft move off centre, and the seal is the next thing to fail. Inner and outer diameter both matter; a bushing that is a little loose does more damage than none at all.
Fitting and Setup Service
A damper rebuild is workshop work: it needs the unit dismantled, the shim stack rebuilt in the correct order and the gas charge reset. We are an authorised Öhlins service centre and do exactly that in house — send us the unit or ask us to fit the part with your order.
