Housing threads carry the adjusters and are the part that suffers if the adjuster is forced.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Öhlins part number 02272-22

What It Is

This position is identified by its number rather than by a dimension. Öhlins machines brackets from billet so the bores stay true under clamping. Brackets locate the damper or reservoir against the chassis and take the load in one direction only. Housings carry bores for adjusters and seals; their concentricity decides whether the unit seals.

Genuine Service Part

Parts remain available years after a unit leaves the current price list, which is unusual in this trade. Öhlins lists this part under its own number in the service catalogue so a workshop can order exactly what it needs. Order by part number. The dimensions below are the ones Öhlins publishes for it. We can supply the whole position from the drawing rather than the single piece if that is easier.

Getting the Number Right

If the unit is already open, compare the dimensions below with the part in your hand before ordering 02272-22. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. A cracked bracket is a safety matter rather than a cosmetic one. Öhlins anodises housings for corrosion resistance rather than for looks.

Fitting and Setup Service

Öhlins recommends that its units are serviced by an authorised centre. We are one: rebuild, revalve and setup all happen in our own workshop.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 02272-22

Category: Brackets

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/02272-22_89c2469e-fcbe-498b-9df8-15d039fb9063.png?v=1788874244
