DescriptionThe whole story▼

Rear hardware rusts first and is photographed most. That is what the TAR025 is: two M8x40 flat-head screws in Ergal 7075 and two conical-head washers M8 Ø 8/25. The same alloy LighTech uses for its rearsets and plate holders. The kit is a stock item, not a special order.

Key Features

  • Screw size M8x40
  • A stock LighTech item
  • Ergal 7075, anodised
  • LighTech asks you to check compatibility with your plate holder model before ordering
  • Two flat-head screws and two conical-head washers M8 Ø 8/25
  • Listed for the Kawasaki Z900 SE

Why Matching Hardware

There are two reasons to change fasteners, and only one of them is weight. What the TAR025 changes is the only hardware on the bike that other road users see. The rest is a matter of taste, and that is what the colour range is for.

Scope and Conditions

Read this before adding the TAR025 to the basket. It is the finishing hardware, and the holder is bought separately. LighTech states it directly: check compatibility with your LighTech plate holder model before purchasing. The TAR025 suits the holders it was made for, not every tail tidy on the market. Italian manufacture, like everything else LighTech makes.

Fitment

Fitment here runs through the plate holder, not the model year. We list it against a Kawasaki Z900 SE (2017 to 2026) because that is the bike the holder goes on — but the screws have to suit the holder. One message with the holder model and the question is settled.

Scope of Delivery

Supplied is the kit TAR025: two M8x40 flat-head screws in Ergal 7075 and two conical-head washers M8 Ø 8/25. Choose from 7 anodised finishes: Black, Blue, Gold, Green, Orange, Red, Silver. The kit arrives in LighTech's own packaging.

Fitting

The TAR025 is a five-minute job at the back of the bike. A drop of thread lock belongs on anything that sees vibration. Bring the bike to us if you would rather not work through thirty screws.

Approval and Road Use

A word on paperwork. No German approval document comes with the TAR025 — no ABE and no Teilegutachten. On a registered Z900 SE the plate holder is the registration-relevant part, not the screws — but your inspection body decides.
