DescriptionThe whole story▼
When lap times matter and every contact point counts, the LighTech FTRTR005R rearset system delivers the precision engineering that track-focused Daytona riders demand. CNC-machined from a solid billet of Ergal 7075-T6 aluminium, this R-version kit is built for riders who refuse to compromise between podium performance and street refinement on the Triumph Daytona 675 (2013–2020) and Daytona 765 Moto2 (2019–2021).
Key Features
- CNC-machined from solid Ergal 7075-T6 aluminium billet for exceptional rigidity and minimal flex under hard braking
- Up to 3 ball bearings per lever ensuring completely play-free, precise lever actuation at all times
- Folding silver footpegs and toepegs — the R-version exclusive that protects components during track incidents
- Carbon heel guards providing ergonomic foot placement and protection lap after lap
- Titanium hardware throughout — lightweight and capable of withstanding extreme racing loads
- Red anodised footpeg brackets giving the kit its unmistakable racing aesthetic straight out of the box
- Adjustable fore-aft and height position so you can dial in the exact riding stance for track or road
Track-Ready Engineering
The R designation is not a cosmetic upgrade — it is a complete specification uplift over the standard LighTech rearset. The use of Ergal 7075-T6, the same alloy series found in aerospace and motorsport structures, means the brackets and levers resist torsional load without adding unnecessary mass. Each lever pivot runs on up to three ball bearings rather than plain bushings, eliminating the dead spot and vague feel that wears into lesser rearsets over time. On a fast lap through a sequence of late-apex corners, that directness translates into more confident, repeatable braking-point reference and cleaner throttle transitions.
Build Quality and Details
The folding footpegs and toepegs are a practical racing feature: they pivot cleanly on a lowside rather than transmitting the full impact force through the bracket. The carbon heel guards are shaped to guide the boot naturally onto the peg and to shield the guard surface from abrasion. Titanium bolts are used throughout the assembly — not as a talking point, but because the weight saving and tensile strength are genuinely relevant at this level of product. The red anodised brackets arrive finished and ready to fit; no additional painting or finishing is required.
All individual components of the FTRTR005R are available as separate spare parts, so a damaged lever or heel guard after a track incident does not mean replacing the entire system. The kit is also compatible with the LighTech UP and DOWN support RFTR244 for riders who need an even wider range of position adjustment. Full mounting hardware is included.
