DescriptionThe whole story▼

Honda spent that era building the litre superbike you could actually ride to the shops, and plenty of owners did exactly that. A Fireblade used on the road meets traffic, and traffic turns the clutch from a race-start device into something worked several hundred times a journey.

Key Features

  • Phosphated pivot seat, free of play from new
  • CNC-machined from solid aluminium, black anodised
  • Milled Gilles face for a secure gloved grip
  • Bolts to the original master cylinder without adapters
  • Reach adjustable through 35 positions, set by hand
  • Road legal in Germany under ABE No. KBA 91203

Machined from Solid

Aluminium cut from billet, bored, phosphated at the pivot, anodised black. Free of play from new. Most of these bikes are now with their second or third owner, and the lever is usually the one original touchpoint nobody thought to renew.

A Superbike in Town

Filtering and junction work on a bike with clip-ons puts the left hand at an awkward angle to begin with. If the blade also sits beyond where the fingers close, every pull becomes a small stretch — and there are a great many of them in a city.

Two Fingers Keeps the Grip

Bringing the lever in makes two-finger operation practical, which leaves the other two wrapped around the bar. On a bike with this much weight on the wrists, that is worth having.

Road Approval

Road legal in Germany under ABE No. KBA 91203. Print the certificate from this page and keep it with the vehicle papers; no entry and no inspection are required.

Scope of Delivery

A single clutch lever, black anodised. The actuator for the clutch switch stays with your old lever and has to be moved across, so set aside a few minutes for that and confirm the interlock before riding.
