DescriptionThe whole story▼
For the Yamaha YZF-R125 from 2019 to 2024, Accossato's AGPP99 rear pad is also available in the Sintered (ST) compound. It is intended for riders who use the bike every day of the year, in rain, cold and heat, sometimes with a passenger. Accossato describes the sintered material as keeping a high, constant grip level at low and high temperatures and gripping well in the wet, so the rear brake responds in the same way whatever the weather.
Key Features
- Rear brake pads for the Yamaha YZF-R125, 2019 to 2024
- AGPP99 outline in the Sintered (ST) compound, code AGPP99ST
- Constant grip in cold and hot conditions, according to Accossato
- Good grip in the wet
- Two pads per box for the rear caliper
- Also listed in the OR compound
- No German ABE held; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's sintered AGPP99 is about consistency: high friction that changes little between cold and hot, and good grip when wet. For the rear brake of a year-round commuter, that is what counts. The pads are also designed for long wear and limited fade. Two pads come in the box, one set for the caliper.
All Year on the R125
Riders who commute through every season need a rear brake that does not become unpredictable on a cold, wet morning. The sintered AGPP99 responds reliably when the disc is soaked, which helps stabilise the bike in slippery conditions. With a passenger on board, the rear brake takes more of the load, and a consistent pad makes that easier to manage. For dry town riding, the OR version is the quieter, gentler option.
Care in Winter
Road salt and grime shorten pad life. Rinse the rear brake with clean water after salty rides, check pad thickness more often in winter and inspect the disc for corrosion. When changing pads, clean the pistons and pump the pedal until firm afterwards.
Fitment and Compatibility
The AGPP99 fits the rear of the Yamaha YZF-R125 from 2019 to 2024, according to Accossato. The 2008 to 2018 bikes use the AGPA173 at the rear. The front of the R125 takes the AGPA101 from 2014 to 2024, and the DK245 is Accossato's disc for the model.
Road Approval
We have no approval documents or German ABE for this pad, which is therefore sold for track and competition riding.
