DescriptionThe whole story▼

The Suzuki SV 650 S with ABS, built from 2007 to 2018, and its siblings from 1999 to 2021 are often chosen by riders who want a sensible, safe middleweight for every day and every season. For these versions Accossato lists the AGPA95 front pad, available here in the Sintered compound as SKU AGPA95ST. It suits riders who ride in the rain as a matter of course and want steady friction on wet discs, working together with the ABS in slippery conditions.

Key Features

  • AGPA95 front pad for the Suzuki SV650, 1999 to 2021
  • Sintered compound, SKU AGPA95ST
  • Accossato: stable grip hot or cold
  • Good response on wet discs
  • Also listed for the ABS SV 650 S
  • For riders who ride in every season
  • OR, EV1, EV2 and ZXC are alternatives
  • No ABE on file; for track use

Construction and Material Quality

Accossato describes its Sintered compound as offering high, constant grip at both low and high temperatures and working well in the wet. When the brake is wet, a pad that bites evenly gives the rider and, on ABS versions, the system a steady basis to work from. Accossato also names slow wear and heat control.

Wet Roads and ABS

On a wet road, a steady, even bite from the pads helps the rider to brake smoothly. On an SV 650 S with ABS, the system prevents the wheel from locking, but the rider still feels the pad through the lever. A sintered compound that grips consistently on wet discs makes this feeling more predictable.

Riders who commute or tour through the whole year will value a pad that behaves the same in all conditions.

ABS Care

When cleaning the wheels, keep the ABS sensor ring free of dirt. Replace the brake fluid at the interval the manual gives; on ABS bikes, a specialist may be needed for a complete bleed.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists AGPA95 for the SV 650 S from 1999 to 2002 and 2003 to 2012, the ABS SV 650 S from 2007 to 2018 and the SV 650 from 2016 to 2021. AGPA94 appears for most of the same versions, so compare your old pads. The SV650 has two front calipers; two boxes are needed.

Road Approval

There is no ABE or German test document for AGPA95ST in our records; the pad is sold for competition use.

Scope of Delivery
