DescriptionThe whole story▼

Riders of the Kawasaki KLX 150 D-Tracker quickly learn to use the rear brake for slow turns, tight U-turns and stopping on gravel car parks. For that everyday role, Accossato supplies the AGPA88 rear pad in an Organic mixture. It fits the D-Tracker from 2016 to 2018 and suits new riders and city commuters who want a rear brake that responds softly and keeps the disc in good shape.

Key Features

  • Rear pads AGPA88 for the Kawasaki KLX 150 D-Tracker, 2016 to 2018
  • Organic mixture, SKU AGPA88OR
  • Long service life and limited disc wear, per Accossato
  • Soft pedal response for slow manoeuvres
  • Quiet operation
  • Front brake takes AGPA76
  • ST version also available
  • No ABE held by us; for track use

Construction and Material Quality

For its Organic mixture, Accossato promises longer-lasting performance and reduced disc wear. On the rear of a small motard, used often and gently, those two points keep maintenance simple. The company also claims its pads resist fading through moderate heat build-up and stop firmly. The compound is bonded to the AGPA88 plate.

Slow-Speed Skills

Tight turns at walking pace are easier when the rider drags the rear brake lightly while keeping a little throttle on. It is a technique many instructors teach, and a soft, predictable rear pad makes it far easier to learn on the D-Tracker. The pedal response stays proportional, so the bike slows without jerking.

Gravel car parks and dusty side streets are where the rear brake is often more useful than the front. A gentle pad helps the rider slow down without locking the rear wheel on a loose surface.

Learner bikes are often parked outside and ridden by several people, so the rear pads can wear without anyone noticing. Put a quick look through the caliper window on the weekly checklist next to tyre pressures, and keep chain spray well away from the rotor. If the D-Tracker has been dropped in a car park, check that the pedal and its linkage are straight before riding on, since a bent pedal can hold the pads lightly against the disc.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists AGPA88 for the rear brake of the Kawasaki KLX 150 D-Tracker from 2016 to 2018, with AGPA76 for the front. The box covers the single rear caliper.

Road Approval

There is no ABE or German test documentation for AGPA88OR in our records. The pads are offered for competition use.
