DescriptionThe whole story▼
Slow traffic is where a Streetfighter 848 asks most of its rider. The wheelbase is short, the bars are wide, the engine is not interested in being gentle below walking pace, and a queue on a hot afternoon becomes an exercise in balance. The rear brake is the tool that makes it manageable, dragged lightly to keep the machine settled while the clutch does the rest. Accossato's TS012 caps its fluid reservoir in aluminium, machined on CNC equipment and anodised in seven colours.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato machines the TS012 from aluminium and anodises it in blue, green, black, orange, red, silver or gold. Anodised colour belongs to the surface of the metal, so it holds up where a painted finish would chip, and on a motorcycle that has been on the road for over a decade that difference shows. The cap is made for the rear reservoir fitted to the machines on the application list, which means the brake circuit of a Streetfighter 848 is untouched by the change. With the old cap removed, examine the diaphragm underneath and replace it if the years have made it hard or split it.
Slow Traffic on a Short Motorcycle
A rear brake used this way deserves to be in good order, and the check is neither long nor difficult. Stand the machine upright on both wheels rather than the side stand, so the reservoir lies level and nothing runs to one side when the cap comes away. Clean the top and the surroundings first; the area behind the rider's heel collects more than most and all of it is looking for a way in. Cover nearby paint with a cloth and keep water within reach, since brake fluid marks lacquer within seconds. Look at the level between the marks and at the colour of the fluid. On a bike of this age the answer is often that nobody remembers when it was last changed, and in that case the owner's manual interval says to do it now; that work belongs in a workshop and ends with a proper bleed. The reservoir should be open only briefly, because the fluid takes moisture from the air. Fit the TS012, tighten gently, and use the pedal several times before the next queue.
Fitment and Compatibility
The TS012 is listed by Accossato for the rear reservoir of the Streetfighter 848 from 2011 to 2016, replacing the original cap while the reservoir stays where it is. On a machine of this age it is worth confirming that the rear master cylinder is still the standard one before ordering; the maker's application list is the reference. Inter-Pace also carries this cap for the Hypermotard 950 SP, the Diavel 1260 and Aprilia's Dorsoduro 1200. The FP004 oil filler cap is the other Accossato part offered for this motorcycle.
Road Approval
There is no German ABE and no test mark for the TS012 in our files, and the cap is sold on that basis for racing and competition.
