DescriptionThe whole story▼

Earlier examples of the Triumph Tiger 800 XRX, those built from 2015 to 2017, take Accossato's AGPA72 front pad, and this listing is its Organic (OR) version. The XRX sat in the middle of the road-biased XR family and made a sensible, comfortable all-rounder. With OR pads, the front brake becomes soft to apply and easy on the discs, which suits owners who use the bike for the daily trip to work, for errands and for unhurried rides at the weekend.

Key Features

  • Front pad AGPA72, Organic (OR) compound
  • For the Triumph Tiger 800 XRX from 2015 to 2017
  • Accossato: lasting performance with low disc wear
  • Easy, forgiving lever for relaxed riding
  • Quiet in stop-start traffic
  • Two pads for one of the two front calipers
  • Also produced as ST, EV1 and EV2

Construction and Material Quality

There is not much marketing in Accossato's description of Organic: it keeps performing for a long time and limits wear on the disc. That modest promise fits a bike like the early XRX, which many owners have kept for years and intend to keep for years more. The brand's broader claims for its pads are slow wear, restrained heat against fade and a strong stop.

Looking After an Older Tiger

A 2015 to 2017 XRX may already be on its second or third set of pads, and the original discs are ageing. Choosing a compound that wears the disc lightly helps them last a little longer, which is worth money on a bike of this age. Organic pads also respond smoothly when cold, so the short commute and the trip to the shops feel natural. If you inherited the bike or bought it used, it is worth checking disc thickness and the date of the last fluid change when you fit new pads. Should the XRX be used for heavy two-up touring in the wet, consider the ST version of AGPA72.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato lists AGPA72 for the XRX front from 2015 to 2017. The 2018 XRX takes a different pad, AGPA29, so confirm the model year before ordering. Two front calipers mean two boxes for a full change. For the rear, Accossato lists AGPP89 across 2015 to 2018. Clean the pistons before pushing them back and pump the lever until it is firm before the first ride.

Road Approval

No test certificate or German ABE is on record for AGPA72OR. We offer it for competition and racing.

Scope of Delivery

Two AGPA72 pads in Organic (OR), enough for one front caliper.
