DescriptionThe whole story▼
On a Suzuki RM-Z 450, race day often means hard-packed clay in the morning, deep ruts by the afternoon and dust hanging over the start straight. The front brake has to work in all of this. For the RM-Z 450 from 2005 to 2020 Accossato offers the AGPA51 front pad in its Off-road sintered compound, SKU AGPA51STMX. It is the mixture made for dirt, for riders who race motocross, hare scrambles or cross-country events on a big four-stroke and rarely see a clean brake.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes STMX as its compound for off-road riders. It is made for brakes that work in mud, dust and water. The maker's design goals of low wear, controlled heat against fade and strong stopping power are part of this compound too.
A Day on a Rough Track
A long race day on a 450 is hard on the whole bike. The front brake is used at the end of every straight, often with clay or sand between the pad and the disc. On a cross-country loop, water crossings and forest sections add more dirt. STMX is designed for this kind of environment, where the brake is rarely clean.
Riders who compete in hare scrambles or cross-country events on the RM-Z 450, where a race can last for hours, will find this the most suitable compound.
Cleaning After Racing
After a race day, remove mud from the caliper with water and a soft brush. Check the pads and look at the disc for grooves. Keep the pressure washer away from the caliper seals and the master cylinder.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA51 for the front of the RM-Z 450 from 2005 to 2020. For the rear of the RM-Z 450 there is AGPP106, same years. One box contains the pads for the front caliper.
Road Approval
We have no ABE or German approval for AGPA51STMX, so it is offered for off-road competition only.
Scope of Delivery
