DescriptionThe whole story▼
The CY024 is Accossato's radial clutch master cylinder, built around a 16 mm piston with a PRS pivot that moves between 15, 16 and 17 mm, and this listing covers the natural anodised body. Unlike the brake units in the range, this cylinder operates the clutch rather than the front stoppers, and the adjustable pivot lets the lever pull be set softer or sharper depending on how the bike is being ridden. A black folding lever comes fitted as standard.
Key Features
- 16 mm piston diameter for the clutch circuit
- PRS pivot, adjustable between 15, 16 and 17 mm
- Folding lever in black
- Natural anodised aluminium body, left in its machined finish
- CNC-machined, fully made in Italy
- Offset riser that limits body flex during use
- Stainless steel mounting screws and a galvanised steel bleed valve
- Seals in Formula 1 compound material
Construction and Material Quality
This clutch master cylinder is machined from aluminium and left in a natural anodised finish, the same unplated treatment Accossato uses on its brake cylinders. Stainless steel screws hold the lever assembly to the bar, the bleed valve is galvanised steel and the seals inside the bore are Formula 1 compound. An offset riser reduces how far the body deflects as the lever is pulled, and the internal passage is shaped so the lever's passive travel, before the clutch actually starts to disengage, is cut by more than half against an ordinary radial unit.
Three Pivot Settings for the Clutch Lever
Moving the pivot between 15, 16 and 17 mm changes how much lever travel is needed before the clutch begins to lift, which matters more for riders who shift often in traffic or on a track than it does for a brake lever used mainly in short bursts. On this natural-finish CY024 the long lever is fitted with a relieving eyelet (RST) while the short lever is supplied without one (NRST), so the two lengths are not identical beyond their reach. The same three-position pivot is built into the lever itself, so switching between 15, 16 and 17 mm needs no extra part.
Fitment and Compatibility
70 motorcycles are confirmed for the CY024, a list dominated by adventure and naked machines rather than pure sportbikes, including the BMW R1250GS, Ducati Multistrada V4, Suzuki V-Strom 1050, Kawasaki Versys 1000 and Honda CB1100RS; the full list with model years is in the Fitment tab. The same PRS clutch cylinder is also sold separately with a nickel-plated body.
Road Approval
This clutch master cylinder is not supplied with German road-approval documentation; it is intended for track and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
The package includes the Accossato PRS 16x15-16-17 radial clutch master cylinder with the folding lever in black, long with a relieving eyelet (RST) or short without one (NRST), in the natural anodised body finish. Stainless steel mounting screws, the galvanised steel bleed valve and the Formula 1 compound seals are assembled on the unit. The brake light switch (ID001 or ID002) and the fluid reservoir are not included and must be purchased separately.
