DescriptionThe whole story▼
Beyond the residential streets where many MT-03 owners first learn the controls, the bike also finds its way into multi-storey car parks near town centres, where tight concrete ramps and low-hanging barriers demand a slower, more deliberate riding style than any open road. A barrier arm that drops a fraction early, or a ramp with an unexpectedly tight curve, can catch a rider off guard at exactly the speed where recovery is hardest: too slow to coast through smoothly, too committed to simply stop. Accossato lists its TP094 crash pads for the MT-03, covering 2015 to 2020.
Key Features
- Crash pads for the Yamaha MT-03, 2015 to 2020
- Accossato TP094, two pads per pack
- CNC-machined aluminium body
- Anodised insert in blue, green, black, red, silver or gold
- Matching screw cover available as an option
- PF064 front axle sliders also listed for this bike
- Ask us before ordering whether drilling is required
- No German ABE on file; for racing and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Each TP094 pad is machined from aluminium and set with an anodised insert in one of six colours, with a matching screw cover offered as an option. Two pads come in the pack. Fitted to the MT-03, they are designed to be the first thing that meets the ground if the bike tips over in a tight space, which can spare the frame nearby some of that impact. They are wear parts rather than permanent protection, and a pad that has clearly taken a knock should be replaced.
Tight Ramps and Low Barriers
Multi-storey car parks are built for cars, and their ramps are often tighter and steeper than they first appear on two wheels, especially when painted lines and oil stains reduce grip in the corners. A barrier that releases a fraction later than expected, or a ticket machine positioned awkwardly close to the lane, can force a sudden stop or a sharp swerve on the MT-03 at exactly the low speed where balance is hardest to hold. Concrete floors also polish smooth over years of tyre wear, and a dusting of rain or spilled oil turns them slippery in a way that is easy to underestimate. If the MT-03 does tip over in one of these tight spaces, the crash pads take the first contact; check them along with the mirror and lever before continuing on.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's list gives the TP094 for the MT-03 across 2015 to 2020, and our listing follows those years, covering a wider span than the PF064 front sliders for the same bike. No other Accossato protection part beyond those front sliders is listed for this model. Accossato notes that drilling the fairing may be needed on some motorcycles, so please ask us before ordering whether your MT-03 requires it.
Road Approval
As no ABE or test certificate has been supplied for the TP094, we list it for track and competition use.
