DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Speedmaster is built for comfort, but its 1200 twin has plenty of torque, and some owners enjoy riding it briskly on winding roads. For them, Accossato offers the AGPA29 front pad in EV1 street/track, listed for the Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster 1200 from 2018 to 2025. It gives a firmer, more immediate front brake for spirited riding and copes with the occasional track session.
Key Features
- AGPA29 front pad for the Triumph Bonneville Speedmaster 1200, 2018 to 2025
- EV1 street/track compound, article AGPA29EV1
- Excellent road and amateur track grip, says Accossato
- Firmer, more immediate bite
- For spirited riding on winding roads
- OR, ST and STMX as alternatives
- Two pads per box
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes EV1 as offering excellent grip for road riding and amateur track use. On a Speedmaster, that gives the front brake a more direct feel for faster riding. The maker's general claims of limited heating, slow wear and strong braking apply as well.
A Cruiser With Pace
A Speedmaster ridden with purpose on a twisty road asks more of its front brake than a relaxed cruise. The rider brakes harder and more often, and the brake has less time to cool. EV1 is designed to deliver a firmer bite and to keep it during repeated use. That helps the rider brake precisely before each bend, which matters on a long, low cruiser with limited ground clearance. For relaxed riding and wet weather, the OR and ST versions of this plate are more suitable.
Settling In
Give the new pads a few rides to bed in, using progressively firmer stops. A sharper pad also takes some getting used to, especially at low speed.
Keep the System Fresh
A more direct pad reveals a tired hydraulic system. If the Speedmaster's lever travels further than it used to, bleed the front brake with fresh fluid when fitting the EV1 pads, and check the disc for wear. Then the stronger bite of the compound comes through as a crisp, confident lever that suits a cruiser ridden at pace.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's catalogue names AGPA29 for the front brake of the Bonneville Speedmaster 1200 across 2018 to 2025. One box is one caliper set; check how many your Speedmaster has. Our data lists no other Accossato pad or disc for this model.
Road Approval
AGPA29EV1 has no ABE or approval certificate. It is offered for motorsport use.
