DescriptionThe whole story▼
Hard enduro is often won or lost at walking pace. On a TM Racing EN 300 two-stroke the engine does the heavy lifting on steep ground, but it is the front brake that places the front wheel exactly where it needs to go: on the edge of a step, between two rocks, against a root before the rear follows. Accossato's B8206 is a folding front brake lever for the EN 300 two-stroke from 2001 to 2019. Machined in Italy from Ergal 7075, its blade sits on a hinge that gives it a chance to survive the inevitable falls.
Key Features
- Folding CNC front brake lever for the TM Racing EN 300 two-stroke, 2001 to 2019
- Listed in two version groups: 2001–2009 and 2010–2019
- Installed on the original front brake master cylinder
- Short blade intended for three fingers
- Anti-break hinge lets the blade tip forward instead of breaking
- Milled from solid Ergal 7075 in Italy
- Black, blue, gold or red blade above a dark base
- No German ABE documented; for off-road and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
The B8206 is made by taking material away, not by moulding it. Accossato starts with a solid block of Ergal 7075, one of the stronger aluminium alloys available, and mills the lever out of it on CNC machines in Italy, aiming for strength, reliability and low weight. Two parts emerge: a dark base, which sits on the master cylinder pivot, and a blade in black, blue, gold or red, linked to it by a hinge. The blade is the short brake-lever shape, designed for three fingers.
Placing the Front Wheel
Picture a rock step higher than the front wheel, approached at a crawl. The rider brings the TM almost to a stop, releases the front brake at the right moment so the tyre rolls onto the edge, then gives the engine a burst and lets the clutch lift the front. On the way down the far side, the front brake does the opposite job, holding the bike back so that the front tyre steps down gently instead of dropping. At these speeds a tiny movement of the lever decides everything, and the fingers have to trust it completely.
Hard enduro also means frequent, clumsy falls. The bike stalls on a step, the rider loses balance and the EN 300 two-stroke rolls onto its side on a jumble of rocks, often with the brake lever trapped between stone and bar. The hinge gives the B8206's blade a way out: it can fold forward rather than snap, so there is a decent chance it will still be whole when the bike is hauled upright. It is a chance, not a guarantee, but hard enduro riders spend much of their day making the most of chances.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's application list gives the B8206 for the TM Racing EN 300 two-stroke from 2001 through 2019, grouped as 2001–2009 and 2010–2019, in each case on the original front brake master cylinder. A folding C7283 clutch lever completes the pair on bikes from the later group. The brake lever is offered in black, blue, gold and red, the clutch lever in black, blue, orange and red.
Road Approval
No German ABE is on file for the B8206. The EN 300 two-stroke can be registered for the road, but this lever is intended for off-road and competition use and is not approved on public roads.
