DescriptionThe whole story▼
Many TM Racing EN 250 two-strokes are now with their second or third owner, and a used enduro tells its story through small parts. Bent levers, scuffed bar ends and scraped handguards reveal how often the bike has been down and on which side. Replacing the brake lever is often one of the first jobs after buying one. Accossato's B8206 fits the EN 250 two-stroke from 2001 to 2019. Milled from solid Ergal 7075 in Italy, it has a blade on a hinge that can let it fold rather than bend in the next fall.
Key Features
- Folding front brake lever for the TM Racing EN 250 two-stroke, 2001 to 2019
- Covers Accossato's two version groups, 2001–2009 and 2010–2019
- Mounts on the original front brake master cylinder
- Three-finger blade, the shorter of Accossato's two shapes
- Anti-break hinge between base and blade
- Machined from solid Ergal 7075 in Italy
- Blade colours: black, blue, gold or red
- No German ABE on record; for off-road and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato's CNC machines in Italy cut the B8206 out of a solid block of Ergal 7075, a high-strength aluminium alloy. The company wants its levers strong, light and reliable, and machining from solid is how it gets there. The lever has two parts: the dark base, which remains on the master cylinder, and the blade, in black, blue, gold or red, which is joined to the base by the folding hinge. Brake levers in this range have the shorter shape, meant for three fingers.
Reading the Levers on a Used Bike
A slightly bent brake lever is easy to ignore, and plenty of used bikes are ridden that way for years. Yet a bent blade changes where the fingers meet it, sitting closer to the grip or further away than intended, and that alters how the front brake feels. A lever straightened with pliers may crack later where the metal was stressed. So when buyers look over a used EN 250 two-stroke, the levers are a sensible place to start: they cost little compared with most parts, and on the trail they are touched every few seconds.
Fitting a folding lever at that point is a way of breaking the cycle. When the bike lands on its right side, the B8206's blade can swing forward on its hinge, so the next fall has a chance of leaving it straight instead of adding another bend. That is not a promise; a hard crash can still damage any lever. But over a season of enduro, a blade that can fold may keep the brake feeling the same from the first ride to the last, which is what a second-hand TM needs after years of other people's falls.
Fitment and Compatibility
The B8206 fits the TM Racing EN 250 two-stroke of every model year from 2001 to 2019; Accossato divides that span into an earlier group up to 2009 and a later one from 2010. It mounts on the original front brake master cylinder. If your bike belongs to the later group, the C7283 folding clutch lever is available as well, while the earlier bikes have no clutch lever in this range. Gold is a brake-lever colour only, orange a clutch-lever colour only, and black, blue and red are shared.
Road Approval
There is no German ABE for the B8206. Many EN 250 two-strokes were sold with road registration, but this lever is meant for off-road and competition riding and is not approved for use on public roads.
