DescriptionThe whole story▼
In qualifying, every lap spent in the pit lane is a lap without a time. That is the situation Accossato had in mind for the RA001, a folding brake lever with what Accossato calls a 90-degree remote adjuster, here for the Aprilia RSV4 RR of 2015 to 2019. With it, the left hand can reset the lever during a session, the throttle hand stays on the grip, and the pit box is not needed. The lever itself fits the original brake master cylinder, and its blade can fold away on a hinge.

- Fits the original master cylinder
- Hinged blade to reduce the chance of breakage in a fall
- With or without RST lightening cut-out
- Seven colours: black, blue, gold, green, orange, red, silver
- No German ABE documented, for racing
Construction and Material Quality
Aluminium, CNC machining and anodising: the lever of the RA001 for the RSV4 RR follows the same basic recipe as Accossato's other levers, and a remote adjuster comes with it. The lever has a black base at the pivot and a coloured blade that folds on its hinge. The adjuster comes with a holder of 35 mm or 60 mm. Anodising leaves base and blade with a hard, dyed surface layer. For the blade you choose from seven colours and between the RST version, lightened by a cut-out, and the solid NRST version.
Qualifying Has No Spare Laps
A qualifying session is short, and the good laps come while the tyres are fresh and the track is clear. If the brake lever feels wrong on the out-lap, coming in to adjust it costs a lap and perhaps the freshest part of the tyres' life. With the RA001, the correction can happen on the next straight. The right hand stays on the throttle, the left reaches the adjuster and makes the change, and the next braking zone shows whether the change worked. On an RSV4 RR, straights pass quickly, so it pays to practise the movement in earlier sessions until it can be done without looking. Used that way, the remote adjuster protects the few laps that decide the grid position.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the RA001 for the RSV4 RR from 2015 to 2019. Its entries include the 2015 Race Pack and the Euro 4 version of 2019. For the same years, the LV012 is Accossato's folding brake lever without a remote adjuster; the two are alternatives for the same place on the bar.
Road Approval
Without a documented German ABE, the RA001 is supplied for track and racing use.
