DescriptionThe whole story▼

Stepping down from the 13.5 mm axial unit, the Accossato 10.5 mm axial brake master cylinder is sized for lighter offroad motorcycles, scooters and pitbikes where less fluid needs to move for a confident front brake. It keeps the same layout as its larger sibling, with the reservoir built into the pump body, a nickel-plated finish on the body itself and a black reservoir cap and lever.

Key Features

  • 10.5 mm piston diameter, axial design for offroad motorcycles, scooters and pitbikes
  • Integrated fluid reservoir built into the master cylinder body
  • Nickel-plated pump body with a black reservoir cap and lever
  • CNC-machined from solid aluminium
  • Offset U-bolt in galvanised steel
  • M10x1 brake hose connection thread

Construction and Material Quality

Like the larger 13.5 mm version, this master cylinder is CNC machined from solid aluminium and nickel-plated on the pump body, with the reservoir cap and lever left black for contrast. A galvanised steel U-bolt, offset within its clamp, mounts the unit to the handlebar, and the hose connection takes the standard M10x1 thread. The smaller 10.5 mm bore asks less of the casting around it, which keeps this version marginally more compact on the narrow bars typical of pitbikes and small scooters, and leaves slightly less metal for a stray rock or fall to bend.

The Smallest Axial Piston in the Offroad Line

At 10.5 mm this is the smaller of the two piston sizes in Accossato's axial brake line, intended for machines where a lighter front brake pull matters more than the extra stopping force a bigger piston can provide. Pitbikes and smaller scooters, where the rider may have less hand strength and the machine itself weighs less, are the typical home for this size, and the built-in reservoir still leaves room for the fluid to expand as the brake heats up during a session on rough ground. Riders moving up from a drum brake to this hydraulic unit notice the lighter lever effort straight away, even before any pad or disc changes are made.

Fitment and Compatibility

Accossato publishes no vehicle list for this master cylinder, and our own fitment data holds none either; it is offered as a universal 10.5 mm axial brake pump for a 22 mm handlebar clamp diameter. Before buying, check that your handlebar clamp measures 22 mm and that your front brake system is built around a 10.5 mm axial piston with an integrated reservoir.

Road Approval

This master cylinder is not supplied with German road-approval documentation; it is intended for track and competition use.

Scope of Delivery

The package includes the Accossato 10.5 mm axial brake master cylinder with its integrated fluid reservoir, in the nickel-plated body with black reservoir cap and lever. The galvanised steel U-bolt and mounting hardware are included. The stop light switch is not included and must be purchased separately.
