DescriptionThe whole story

The Z1100 SE makes it easy to arrive at a corner faster than intended. Here the shape is the B007, drawn for the Brembo caliper and measuring 85.0 by 51.0 mm. The mixture in this B007 is EXR: up to twenty percent more force in the second phase of braking.

Key Features

  • The B007 is one of 16 shapes ZCOO builds; this is the one your Brembo caliper takes
  • Predictable in the wet, because the compound does not need temperature to start working on a Z1100 SE
  • Wear indicator geometry unchanged from the standard Brembo pad, so the usual inspection still applies on the Z1100 SE
  • Ceramic sintering rather than a resin binder, so there is nothing in the B007 to cook out at the top of the range
  • The B007 is made by Okada Corporation in Japan, the manufacturer behind ZCOO's endurance-racing programme
  • Supplied as a pack of two - the exact set the Brembo caliper of the Z1100 SE takes

Construction and Material Quality

ZCOO builds the B007 the same way whether it ends up on a Z1100 SE or on a race bike. Because the B007 is sintered rather than resin-bonded, there is no binder to cook out at the top of the range. Together they remove the two things that normally end a sintered pad, and the B007 is built against both: fade at the top of the range, and the friction layer lifting away.

Performance and Feel

The second phase of braking is where a compound either holds or gives up, and that is what ZCOO changed. ZCOO changed both halves at once on the B007: the mixture and the plate behind it. A grabby pad on a short-wheelbase Z1100 SE is not merely uncomfortable - it is destabilising.

Fitment and Compatibility

ZCOO catalogues the B007 for the Z1100 SE of 2026. Before ordering, check that your caliper takes a pad of 85.0 mm length and 51.0 mm height. The same B007 shape covers 111 further machines in the 2026 catalogue. The reference is a front pad; ZCOO lists no rear equivalent.

Road Approval

No ECE R90 type approval is documented for this pad. It appears neither in ZCOO's own catalogue nor on the European distributor's site, and no approval number is printed on the packaging data available to us. ZCOO itself describes the compound as suited to competition machines and road machines alike, but that is a description of the mixture, not a type approval. Until the distributor confirms an approval in writing, treat this as a track and competition part: in Germany a replacement brake pad without ECE R90 approval may not be fitted to a motorcycle used on public roads. Ask us before ordering if you need this clarified for your machine.
