DescriptionThe whole story

Backing it in and trail-braking to the apex asks more of a pad's release than of its bite. Here the shape is the B007, drawn for the Brembo caliper and measuring 85.0 by 51.0 mm. What the B007 carries is EX Race: a ceramic sinter tuned for proportionality over attack.

Key Features

  • Runs cooler at the disc than a conventional sinter, because the ceramic film it forms carries part of the load on the Hyperstrada 939
  • Fits the Brembo caliper the Ducati Hyperstrada 939 left the factory with - no aftermarket caliper required
  • Pad code ZRM-B007C, 85.0 mm long and 51.0 mm tall - a direct fit in the standard caliper
  • Tested and specified for the 2016 model years of the Ducati Hyperstrada 939, not extrapolated from a neighbouring year
  • Selected by ZCOO for the Ducati Hyperstrada 939 out of the sixteen shapes in the 2026 programme
  • No ECE R90 type approval is documented for this compound - treat the B007 as a track and competition part

Construction and Material Quality

What sits behind the friction material on a B007 matters as much as the mixture itself. Expansion gaps between the friction blocks let the B007 material grow into the gaps when hot instead of building stress against itself. Everything about the B007 plate is there to stop the friction face going out of true.

Performance and Feel

Fitted to a Hyperstrada 939, EX Race changes how the brake behaves rather than how hard it stops. The lever pressure needed for a given deceleration barely moves as heat builds through a session on the Hyperstrada 939. The Ducati Hyperstrada 939 brakes hard and often, and the B007 is mixed for the repetition.

Fitment and Compatibility

The 2026 listing puts the B007 on the Ducati Hyperstrada 939 for the 2016 model years. ZCOO lists no rear pad for the Hyperstrada 939. Before ordering, check that your caliper takes a pad of 85.0 mm length and 51.0 mm height. The same B007 shape covers 111 further machines in the 2026 catalogue.

Road Approval

No ECE R90 type approval is documented for this pad. It appears neither in ZCOO's own catalogue nor on the European distributor's site, and no approval number is printed on the packaging data available to us. ZCOO itself describes the compound as suited to competition machines and road machines alike, but that is a description of the mixture, not a type approval. Until the distributor confirms an approval in writing, treat this as a track and competition part: in Germany a replacement brake pad without ECE R90 approval may not be fitted to a motorcycle used on public roads. Ask us before ordering if you need this clarified for your machine.
