DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Talos S78 Monoblock P4 is a serious track-day upgrade that delivers genuine racing-grade braking performance without the complexity of a two-piece caliper. Machined as a single-piece monoblock body and weighing just 583 g, the S78 gives ambitious riders a tangible improvement in feel, modulation and fade resistance — session after session.
Key Features
- One-piece monoblock aluminium body for outstanding rigidity and minimal flex under heavy braking loads
- Four 34 mm titanium pistons with TIN (titanium nitride) coating for consistent performance under extreme thermal stress
- Hard-anodised surface finish resists corrosion and wear across repeated high-intensity track sessions
- Lightweight at 583 g — an immediate unsprung weight saving over most OEM calipers
- 100 mm mounting pitch and 30 mm offset for broad fitment across a wide range of performance motorcycles
- Right-hand front fitment — pairs with the matching left-side S78 for a complete front upgrade
Monoblock Construction
Machining the caliper body from a single billet rather than bolting two halves together eliminates the joint that most calipers flex through under peak load. The result is a measurably stiffer structure that translates directly into a firmer, more progressive lever feel. At 583 g for the 100 mm version, the S78 achieves this rigidity without adding unwanted mass to the front end.
Titanium Pistons with TIN Coating
Each of the four 34 mm pistons is machined from titanium and coated with titanium nitride. Titanium's low thermal conductivity keeps heat from migrating from the pad into the fluid, protecting against fade during long or repeated braking zones. The TIN surface reduces friction within the caliper bore, easing piston retraction and extending seal life — practical benefits that matter as much on a busy track day as they do in a race.
Hard-Anodised Finish
The hard-anodising process creates a dense oxide layer that is far harder and more abrasion-resistant than standard anodising. On a track caliper exposed to brake dust, stone chips and aggressive cleaning, this surface protection maintains the caliper's integrity and appearance across a long service life.
