DescriptionThe whole story▼
The catalytic converter on a Monster 937 is a large, heavy object hanging under the engine. Spark replaces the whole collector with half a kilo of titanium, and the two things that change are the mass and the sound.
Key Features
- Titanium racing collector for the Ducati Monster 937.
- 0,5 kg — replaces the original catalytic collector.
- Works with the original silencers and with Spark silencers.
- Combines with the titanium primary pipe GDU8526.
- Deeper, darker exhaust note.
- Racing part — Spark lists it as not approved.
Half a Kilo Where a Brick Used To Be
Spark does not publish a figure for the standard collector on this bike, so the honest comparison is not a subtraction — it is the description of what goes in: a titanium collector weighing 0,5 kg in place of an assembly built around a ceramic converter in a steel housing.
Anyone who has had the original off the bike knows the difference without needing scales. It is bulky, it sits low, and it is the single heaviest item in the exhaust path.
The Sound Is the Point
Spark says it plainly: this part gives the motorcycle a dark, deep voice. A catalyst is an acoustic damper as well as a chemical one, and taking it out changes the character of the L-twin more than a silencer swap does.
That is the reason most people buy this article, and it is worth being clear about it before buying it expecting a power figure — Spark quotes none for the collector on its own.
It Does Not Force a Silencer Choice
The collector is built to work with the silencers already on the motorcycle as well as with Spark's own. That makes it the cheapest single change that alters how the bike sounds, and it leaves the back of the machine looking untouched.
Paired with the titanium primary pipe GDU8526 ahead of it, the whole section from cylinder head to silencer becomes titanium.
Fitment & Compatibility
Ducati Monster 937, 2021 to 2025. Combines with the original silencers, with the Spark Dyno slip-ons GDU0839TOMC, GDU0839TOMN and GDU0839TOMR, and with the titanium primary pipe GDU8526.
Road Approval
None. Spark lists this collector as not approved. It removes the catalytic converter the motorcycle was type-approved with, so a machine fitted with it is for closed-course use only — regardless of which silencers are behind it.
