DescriptionThe whole story▼

If your OXO small shell is matt and has no decor on the chin bar, FX8705P in code ABK is one of the candidates. It costs less than the non-matt chin bars.

Key Features

  • Chin bar for the OXO small shell, matt
  • Single finish code ABK
  • Supplier line CHIN BAR SMALL SHELL Mat
  • Listed weight 170 g

Fitting

Take your time with the fitting, or leave it to a Shark dealer: the chin bar holds the front lock of the helmet. The screws are listed separately as FX8725P. When it is on, close it and give it a firm pull at the front to confirm both sides have locked.

Before you order

The OXO is named for FX8705P in Shark's price list. Read the chin bar number on your helmet or its documentation first; there are several matt small-shell chin bars, and they differ only by code.

Finish codes

ABK has no colour name from Shark. Other matt small-shell chin bars carry G02, B16 or KMA (FX8701P), AUK or KUB (FX8707P), KAA (FX8709P) and KBR (FX8761P). The non-matt bar in KWY or KSR is FX8704P. If the code label is missing, the dealer who sold the helmet can usually look it up.

Small shell or large shell

FX8705P fits the small shell. The large-shell matt chin bar in ABK is FX8715P. Your shell size is printed on the label under the comfort liner. Do not go by the helmet size alone: several helmet sizes share one shell, and the only reliable answer is that label.
