How to measure your helmet size correctly: To find the right helmet size, measure your head circumference with a flexible tape measure.
It is important that the tape measure runs around the widest part of the head – only then will you get a correct result.
Place the tape measure at the front, about 1–2 cm above the eyebrows, and run it along the sides above the ears.
At the back, the tape must run over the largest part of the back of the head (not too low on the neck). The tape may run slightly at an angle – what matters is that it sits all the way around the largest points of the head.
Make sure the tape measure sits snugly but does not dig in. Measure 2–3 times for the most accurate result. You can then compare the measured value in centimetres (cm) with our size chart.
Tips for an accurate result
- Keep hair flat (e.g. do not measure over a voluminous hairstyle)
- Keep the tape horizontal, i.e. along the largest circumference
- Do not measure too loosely
- For values between two sizes:
→ usually choose the larger size (depending on helmet model / fit)
Important note on fit
The right helmet should fit firmly without causing uncomfortable pressure points.
A new helmet may feel a little tighter at first, as the inner lining adapts slightly over time.

When you're covering serious miles — whether threading mountain passes or pushing hard on circuit — the helmet on your head has to feel as natural as a second skin. The Shark Aeron Speed-Tech DBR is engineered from the ground up around all-day wearability, combining a precisely shaped carbon and aramid fibre shell with Morpho-Pads that mould to your individual head shape, antimicrobial interior liners, and a ventilation system that keeps fresh air moving even at a steady touring pace.
Key Features
- Morpho-Pads 3D interior padding conforms to your head shape for a personalised, pressure-free fit that holds up across long days in the saddle
- Carbon and aramid fibre shell in two shell sizes and four EPS sizes — keeping the fit precise and the weight low whatever your head circumference
- Removable, antimicrobial and breathable interior lining — easy to wash after every hard ride
- Glasses-friendly interior channel and detachable ear and cheek pads make daily use straightforward for spectacle wearers
- Emergency quick-release system on the retention system for added safety in the event of an accident
- ECE 22.06 certified — meeting the latest European safety standard
All-Day Ventilation and Aerodynamics
The Aeron's ventilation circuit features five air inlets and seven exhaust outlets, drawing fresh air across the interior and expelling heat efficiently without creating buffeting. The integrated rear spoiler plays a dual role: it channels exhaust air cleanly and generates aerodynamic downforce that stabilises the helmet at higher speeds, reducing neck fatigue on longer stints. The result is a helmet that stays quiet, cool and planted whether you're commuting or touring across borders.
Vision and Visor System
The anti-fog, anti-scratch visor delivers a wide, distortion-free field of view in all weather conditions. A positive locking mechanism holds it firmly shut at speed, preventing the visor from cracking open unexpectedly during hard acceleration or motorway cruising. The compact visor mechanism operates with a single, precise action, and the system is prepared for tear-offs — useful for those who also take the Aeron to track days.
- Anti-fog and anti-scratch treatment as standard
- Visor lock prevents unintended opening at high speed
- Tear-off compatible — ready for circuit use
- Compact, precise visor mechanism
Speed-Tech DBR Colourway
The Speed-Tech DBR graphic applies the Aeron's matte finish in a dynamic red and blue scheme that reflects the helmet's racing origins without looking out of place on the road. The matte surface resists fingerprints, ages cleanly over time, and gives the carbon structure a purposeful, understated character that pairs equally well with sports machinery and adventure kit.
