DescriptionThe whole story▼
Drawn from Puig's collaboration with the Kawasaki Racing Team in the WorldSBK series, the Downforce Sport Winglets for the BMW S1000RR K46 (2015-2018) bring genuine racing aerodynamic heritage to your machine. Available in black or red to complement the S1000RR's aggressive lines, model 9767 is a purposeful track-focused upgrade built on proven competition data.
Key Features
- Generates up to 6 kg of downforce for measurably improved front-wheel traction at speed
- Reduces shimmy effects by stabilising the front end through optimised aerodynamic loading
- Anti-wheelie effect keeps the front wheel planted under hard acceleration, improving consistency and safety
- Race-proven design developed directly from Kawasaki Racing Team WorldSBK test data
- Available in bold red or classic black to suit the visual character of your S1000RR
- Constructed from high-quality materials to withstand the demands of track use
Heritage and Design
Puig's Downforce range traces its lineage directly to the WorldSBK pit lane. The aerodynamic profiles were validated through real on-track testing by the Kawasaki Racing Team, and the shapes you see on these winglets mirror principles refined at race circuits across Europe. Rather than a cosmetic addition, model 9767 is a functional aerodynamic component whose geometry is designed with intent — the clean winglet form integrates with the S1000RR's factory fairing without the visual clutter of aftermarket-looking bolt-ons.
The choice of black or red is deliberate: black offers a stealthy, unified look that lets the bike's own lines do the talking, while red provides a motorsport flash of contrast that references the raw energy of Superbike racing. Either way, the finish is consistent and durable enough for repeated track days.
Performance on Track
At high speed, the aerodynamic load generated by these winglets acts directly on the front axle area, countering the natural tendency of a powerful litre-class machine to lighten the front end under acceleration. Up to 6 kg of downforce is produced, which translates into a more planted front tyre, reduced high-speed shimmy and a confidence-inspiring anti-wheelie characteristic that allows you to carry more corner-exit speed without triggering the electronics. These are gains felt through the handlebars, not just read from a datalogger.
Note: model 9767 is designed for race track use only.
