Where It Sits
At 10 mm, 16 mm, 1 mm it fits one position only; the next size up carries a different number. Retaining rings come in a groove-specific thickness — the next size does not hold. A spacer that is a millimetre short changes the preload on a shim stack, and with it the damping. Ordering the small parts with the seal kit saves the second delivery that most rebuilds otherwise need.

Check dimension a 10 mm, dimension b 16 mm, dimension c 1 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Öhlins uses metric threads throughout, but the length and head form are specific to the position. Öhlins lists washers by thickness because it forms part of the internal stack height.
