Fasteners in a damper see pressure, heat and vibration at once, which is why the grade matters.

Key Features

Original Öhlins service part

Dimension C 2 mm

Öhlins part number 00641-03

Dimension A 8 mm

Dimension B 12 mm

What It Is

Öhlins gives it as 8 mm, 12 mm, 2 mm; nothing about that is approximate. A washer of the wrong thickness quietly changes preload on whatever it sits against. Retaining rings come in a groove-specific thickness — the next size does not hold. Öhlins gives every washer and spacer its own part number because its length or thickness is part of the internal geometry.

Original Öhlins Part

Öhlins keeps service parts available for units long after they leave the current price list. The tolerances here are the ones the unit was assembled to, not a pattern equivalent's interpretation of them. Ask us before ordering if you are unsure: a wrong part in a pressurised unit is an expensive lesson. Where a number has been superseded, Öhlins states the replacement — we pass that on.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Öhlins identifies this position by the number 00641-03 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. Check dimension a 8 mm, dimension b 12 mm, dimension c 2 mm against what you have removed; a close size is not the same part. Circlips hold axial position under load; a sprung one lets the assembly walk. A spacer that is a millimetre short changes the preload on a shim stack, and with it the damping.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 00641-03

Category: Washers

Dimension A: 8 mm

Dimension B: 12 mm

Dimension C: 2 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/00641-03_1b4a96e6-cc9f-470d-8ed1-a3d2e978bf94.png?v=1788872694
