What It Is
This one measures 16 mm, 30 mm, 20 mm, and those figures are what separate it from the neighbouring numbers. Öhlins gives every washer and spacer its own part number because its length or thickness is part of the internal geometry. Öhlins lists these individually because a service usually needs a handful of them. Spacers are machined rather than cut, so the ends are square and the load is even.
Genuine Service Part
Öhlins publishes dimensions for its service parts so a workshop can verify before it fits. The tolerances here are the ones the unit was assembled to, not a pattern equivalent's interpretation of them. Where a number has been superseded, Öhlins states the replacement — we pass that on. If you are unsure which number your unit takes, send us the model and serial number of the damper and we will look it up.
How to Be Sure It Fits
Öhlins identifies this position by the number 05669-20 in the exploded view for the unit it belongs to. Öhlins states dimension a 16 mm, dimension b 30 mm, dimension c 20 mm for this number, and those figures are the deciding ones. Spacers are machined rather than cut, so the ends are square and the load is even. Circlips hold axial position under load; a sprung one lets the assembly walk.
Fitting and Setup Service
We are an authorised Öhlins service centre, so you do not have to source the tools and the nitrogen: send us the damper and we rebuild it with the correct parts and the correct setting.
