DescriptionThe whole story▼
Preload adjuster 0.5 mm bleed, Öhlins part number 06247-50. An adjuster that turns without resistance has lost its detent; the setting is then guesswork.
Key Features
- Original Öhlins service part
- Öhlins part number 06247-50
Where It Sits
There is no measurement to check here — the number and the exploded view identify it. Adjuster housings carry seals, and a leak there empties the damper as surely as a shaft seal. A worn adjuster loses its clicks, and with them any chance of a methodical setup. Öhlins publishes the click count for each unit, and a rebuilt adjuster should return it.
Genuine Service Part
Öhlins publishes dimensions for its service parts so a workshop can verify before it fits. The tolerances here are the ones the unit was assembled to, not a pattern equivalent's interpretation of them. Tell us the damper's model designation and year and we will match the number for you. Order by part number — descriptions repeat across sizes, numbers do not.
Getting the Number Right
The reliable route is the exploded drawing: find the position, read the number, order it — 06247-50 in this case. Where no measurement is given, the drawing position is what identifies the part. Öhlins publishes the click count for each unit, and a rebuilt adjuster should return it. The adjuster knob is what the rider touches, and Öhlins colour-codes it by function.
Fitting and Setup Service
We are an authorised Öhlins service centre, so you do not have to source the tools and the nitrogen: send us the damper and we rebuild it with the correct parts and the correct setting.
