Öhlins machines its pistons so the port edges stay sharp and the flow predictable.

Key Features

Dimension A 12 mm

Dimension B 36 mm

Öhlins part number 03077-01

Original Öhlins service part

Where It Sits

At 12 mm, 36 mm it fits one position only; the next size up carries a different number. The seat face has to be flat enough for the first shim to seal against it. Replacing a piston is a workshop job because the shim stack has to be rebuilt in the correct order. A worn piston band lets oil past the outside of the piston, which shows up as damping that has gone soft.

Why the Original

Öhlins is one of the few suspension makers that still supplies every position in the exploded view as a single part. The alternative to a service part is usually a new damper, which is why this catalogue exists. We can check the number against the Öhlins exploded view before you order — just ask. Service parts are supplied per piece unless the description says otherwise.

How to Be Sure It Fits

Part number 03077-01 is unambiguous; the description alone is not, because Öhlins uses similar wording across sizes. Öhlins states dimension a 12 mm, dimension b 36 mm for this number, and those figures are the deciding ones. Replacing a piston is a workshop job because the shim stack has to be rebuilt in the correct order. Jets meter fixed bleed flow and are sized in tenths of a millimetre.

Fitting and Setup Service

Ask us about a full service: as an authorised Öhlins centre we strip, inspect, replace what is worn and set the unit back to its specification.

Specifications

Brand: Öhlins

Part Number: 03077-01

Category: Pistons

Dimension A: 12 mm

Dimension B: 36 mm

Country of Origin: Sweden

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0949/7831/0410/files/03077-01_a83cbe6f-a423-4db2-9abb-46e3d5d2ef40.png?v=1788871948
